Hunting at The Teller

Many heroes of American conservation, such as John James Audubon, Theodore Roosevelt, Aldo Leopold, came to their understanding of the natural world through hunting and fishing. Our founder, Otto Teller, never forgot the lessons he learned as a sportsman. Today, Teller continues Otto's legacy by offering limited whitetail deer, waterfowl, and upland bird hunting opportunities for the public at no charge, in cooperation with the Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks (MT FWP) Block Management Program. We also engage young people in our conservation heritage through youth hunter education and mentoring programs.

TWR exists for the direct benefit of fish, wildlife and their habitat. We do not charge fees for hunting, but we gladly accept donations and encourage volunteer involvement that enables us to further our mission and offer these opportunities to the public. Teller hunting permit preferences are given to volunteers who contribute time to Teller mission efforts and projects. Thank you for your support.

For more information on hunting at Teller, see the guidelines listed below or contact the TWR main office at (406) 961.3507.
