It’s Time for Bill’s Bird Count!

Conceived in the 1980’s by former Teller board member, Bill Good, the event is comprised of teams of skilled birders who spend 24 hours on Teller recording the avian sights and sounds to reach a total bird species tally.  Each team solicits financial pledges based on the number of species detected.  Funds raised directly benefit Teller’s conservation education and wildlife habitat programs.

This year, two teams of birders will be conducting the survey from noon, June 18th through noon, June 20th.  Interested in pledging?  You can expect these skilled birders to tally between 60 and 80 species of birds during that 24-hour period. A $1 pledge per species could result in an $80 donation to Teller.  Please join in and support these avian enthusiasts and volunteers in raising dollars in the name of conservation!
