POSITION TITLE: Events and Lodging Assistant
WAGES AND BENEFITS: $15/hour, Fuel reimbursement, Flexible schedule
SCHEDULE: Part-time, Seasonal - May through September
REPORTS TO: Director of Development
JOB SUMMARY
The Events and Lodging Assistant at Teller Wildlife Refuge is a part-time, seasonal position playing a key role in ensuring a memorable and seamless experience for The Barn at Teller and Otto’s Cabin guests. This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining our lodging and event facilities to the highest standards. Key responsibilities include managing inventory of essential supplies, performing facility checks before guest arrivals, and ensuring cleanliness throughout the property. The assistant also supports wedding check-ins and provides top-notch customer service to make each guest's stay special. Regular walkthroughs and facility surveys are conducted to identify and report any maintenance or repair needs, ensuring a pristine environment at all times. Additionally, this role assists with Teller's fundraising and outreach events
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Managing and maintaining stock of linens, cleaning supplies, and toiletries for lodging and event facilities.
Walk through facilities following pre-check-in protocols, ensuring property is ready for check-in
Performing cleaning and light maintenance duties, as necessary
Assisting in and often facilitating guest check-in, ensuring quality customer service
Frequently surveying facilities for damages and maintenance needs, reporting to management as necessary
Assisting with Teller’s fundraising and outreach events
Other duties as assigned in support of Teller’s lodging and events program.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience in hospitality and customer service is desired, but not required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
High attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Friendly and upbeat personality
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
A valid Montana driver’s license and reliable transportation are required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The incumbent will encounter primarily field conditions. Work will require physical labor in the form of light lifting, bending, and physical exertion. Travel by automobile and on foot will be required. Physical exertion in getting to and conducting tasks on property will require good physical capability and health.
