We’re looking for volunteers to help make Teller’s Youth Expo a fun and successful day for families and kids! This hands-on community event offers exciting outdoor activities and educational stations — and we need your help to keep everything running smoothly.

Event Setup & Teardown
Shifts available:
8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
9:30 AM - 12:00 PM
12:00 PM - 3:30 PM
3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

3rd Grade Field Trip | May 22, 2025
Teller Wildlife Refuge is hosting a 3rd-grade field trip on May 22nd, and we need 5 volunteers to help run hands-on conservation education stations!
Time: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Stations include:
Mammal Adaptations
Bird Adaptations
Fish Adaptations
Macroinvertebrates
Habitat Scavenger Hunt
No experience necessary—just enthusiasm for nature and working with kids! Volunteers will help engage students in interactive activities and learning experiences.
Nature CONNECTION SUMMER CAMPS
Love working with kids and spending time outdoors? Teller Wildlife Refuge is looking for volunteers to help with our Nature Connections Summer Camp! Volunteers play a key role in creating a fun, safe, and educational experience for campers. All volunteer shifts are Monday - Thursday, 9:00am - 4:00pm
Volunteer duties include:
Assisting the Camp Director with daily prep and cleanup
Helping with camper management and supervision
Supporting activities and games
Keeping camp areas organized and clean
Camp Dates & Age Groups:
Grades K-2: June 16-19, July 7-10, July 28-31
Grades 3-5: June 23-26, July 14-17, August 4-7
Grades 6-8: July 21-24
Grades 9-12: June 9-12
Volunteers are required to pass a background check, and children of volunteers receive discounted camp fees. Volunteers also have the opportunity to attend training with Montana Natural History Center.
TnT Dinner and Auction | June 27, 2025
We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help make our Annual TnT Dinner & Auction a success! This signature event supports conservation and education programs on the Refuge, and we couldn’t do it without the help of our dedicated volunteers.
Volunteer duties include:
Assisting with event setup and teardown
Helping with guest check-in
Supporting live and silent auction operations
Ensuring the smooth flow of the evening
It’s a fun and rewarding way to give back, meet fellow supporters, and experience this incredible event behind the scenes.
